And I am off!

I was very excited in the weeks leading up to my departure from Utah to Madrid. Other than packing my bags, I was franticly preparing to deliver my fist ever TEDx talk in Salt Lake the exact same day. I jumped on the plane the night of my talk. When I arrived to the airport, reality set in that I had booked a one-way ticket to Spain, officially beginning my Fulbright journey! On my flight, I was reminded of family, friends, mentors, coaches, professors such as Howard, Fulbright Advisor ,and colleagues who had been incredibly supportive.
After taking an incredibly intense nap in the airplane,I arrived at baggage claim in one piece, event if slightly exhausted. After settling in a town called, Villa de Vallecas, I toured the city the next day. I hit all major sights in an afternoon. Moreover, the architecture is regal and the avenues are massive. Overall, I am eager to incorporate my past experiences and ideas at IE University, a leading business school in Madrid and Segovia. I am an Adjunct Professor there teaching Human Rights curriculum and researching ways to identify non-western mindfulness practices in the learning process of University students studying a second or third language at IE. I hope to help students establish a sense of place and learn more about the U.S culture.
